Shepper
Shepper needed a website that matched their ambition. We built a new website using the React framework, combining bold design with a storytelling-led user experience. It’s fast, scalable, and finally explains what Shepper does - and why it matters.

The Brief
The Challenge
Shepper gets people on the ground, fast. With over 200,000 'Shepherds' across the UK, they can check pretty much anything. Prices on shelves. Product recalls. In-store displays. Even how long the tube wheels squeak between stations.
But explaining that? Not easy. Their old site didn’t come close. We built one that does.

What They Needed
This wasn’t just about a slick new look. The site had to actually explain what Shepper does - which isn’t simple. It needed to show the scale of the network, how flexible the platform is, and how fast they can get results.
It also had to speak to potential Shepherds, explaining the gig-based setup. And it needed to hold its own with investors, with the business heading into new funding rounds. No pressure.

The Details
How We Did It
We built everything from the ground up in React. No CMS. No templates. Just fast, clean code and a front end that feels alive.
Animations are custom-coded with full control over scroll, motion and mouse behaviour. We collaborated with their internal team throughout - managing feedback from multiple stakeholders while keeping the experience light and focused.

Client Feedback
The team were patient, proactive and incredibly knowledgeable when helping us to navigate our journey. They went above and beyond in design, finding a sweet spot in a complicated brief and managing many stakeholders. They even provided copy examples, SEO advice and many iterations and walkthroughs.

The Outcome
From Code to Conversion
The new site finally does Shepper justice. It’s fast, interactive, and has enough bite to land with clients, Shepherds, and investors alike.
With an in-house team of React developers ready to take the reins, we handed over clean, fully documented code and a setup that’s easy to build on. That said, we still dip back in now and then - new pages, design tweaks, the occasional brainstorm when something bigger’s brewing.
Looking back, this one was a real shift from our usual WordPress builds. No CMS and a modern tech stack meant fewer rules, more freedom - and the kind of creative wiggle room we don’t always get. Just raw React and a green light to get creative. Adam was in his element. Exactly the kind of challenge we like and end result’s something we’re seriously proud of.
